cuisine & drinks, and has an elegant, comfortable, artistic atmosphere.

James Ilgenfritz, acoustic bassist and composer, approaches the double bass
as an archeologist would unearth a fossilized relic. Carefully examining
rarified aspects of the instrument's sonic palette, James strives to give
new meaning to the classically overlooked gems of the instruments physical
and hypothetical properties.

He has collaborated with Gary Lucas, Andrew D'Angelo, Chris Speed, Lukas
Ligeti, Steve Swell, David Krakauer, and Tim Berne, recordings include
avant-rock band Larval, whose latest record, Obedience, features James' bass
playing, and received four stars in Downbeat Magazine. He is returning to
New York after completing a Masters degree in Performance at the University
of California San Diego, working with bassist Mark Dresser, cellist Charles
Curtis, and Max/MSP creator Miller Puckette.

*Duane Pitre* is a Brooklyn-based composer/performer who is recognized for
his creation of multiple abstract sounds such as dense/atmospheric drones
and minimalist compositions/improvisations.

Spring 2007 marks the return to Brooklyn for Pitre and the release of
*Organized
Pitches Occurring in Time* by *Duane Pitre/Pilotram Ensemble* on *Important
Records* which consists of two lengthy ensemble drone works, recorded in NYC
during October 2005.

Duane has worked with San Diego's *The Camera Obscura*, his group *Pilotram,
* *The Ontological-Hysteric Theater* (*NOISE!* 2005), *The Knitting Factory*,
*Galapagos*, *Lit*, and *ABCNoRio*. He is interested in the physics of
sound, the involvement of mathematics in tuning and temperament, the ancient
tuning system of *Just Intonation* and other microtonal tuning systems, as
well as the minimalist composers *La Monte Young*, *Terry Riley*, and *Steve
Reich*.

Julianne Carney is a classically trained, improvising violinist who finds
intersections between classical, appalachian oldtime, electro-acoustic
improv, hip hop, experimental, gypsy, indie, and arabic artists. Seeking a
global musical language, everyday sounds, sine waves, overtone-rich violin
tones, resonant drones, justly tuned cellos or unjustly tuned banjos, all
find their way into her musical biosphere.
She has performed with her project Ahnfinod, and with Jay-Z, Sufjan Stevens,
Beyonce, Jenny Scheinman, Bill Frisell, Adam Matta (beatbox), Luminescent
Orchestrii, My Brightest Diamond, & Duane Pitre/Pilotram Ensemble, at venues
including Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Tonic, Knitting Factory,
Apollo Theater, Joe's Pub, Café Lena, Cafe Helsinki, Cornell University's
Schwartz Center, and the Beachland Ballroom.
